Orange is my favorite color

Update 1/25/2004: While being rented this weekend, the car was totaled in an accident when the driver was t-boned by a rookie in Turn 7 at Sears Point in the Saturday Club Race. Both drivers are OK but the car isn’t. The car is now planned to be parted out. Contact me if interested.

(Pukka Software has a national driving events calendar and an online motorsport event registration system.)

I am making new plans for 2004 and looking to sell my club racer. I have driven the car to and from the races and it has been perfectly reliable with no DNFs or DNSs and no tow trucks ever needed. The motor was rebuilt at the end of 2002 when I purchased the car, carefully broken in, and pulls very strongly. Compression is all 205-210. Chassis has ~64k miles. The car has been maintained by Bill Arnold and Ramon LeFrancois.

The car is very well balanced and very fast. Even with my rookie driving skills, the car has turned 1:57’s at Sears Point, 1:46’s at Laguna Seca and 2:04’s at Buttonwillow #13 CCW, all on RA-1s, winning 1st place in JP for Pacific Region.

The car may need a new front windshield for 2004 as the rules have changed for NASA/NABR in California that prevent a windshield from having any one crack longer than 4 or 6 inches. There are currently two very big cracks that I’ve raced with all season long. They are not in my line of sight so it’s caused no problem.

Also included in the sale is a box of spare parts and extras that came with the car when I purchased it (but haven’t needed). Get ready for the 2004 season — car is located in San Francisco.

Delivery of car is possible depending on where you are located and when you want it. I will also rent the car for events with your rental fee going towards the purchase price if you choose to buy it.

Optional Stuff

I have a bunch of “extra” stuff that I will need to part with as well including:

  • 4 Kosei 15×8 with Toyo RA-1s (2 race weekends on them)
  • Stock E30 M3 exhaust with cats for Laguna
  • 4 225/50-15 Kuhmo Victoracers (2 autocrosses on them)
  • Spare (passenger?) race seat (and Schroth harness)
  • Accsump 2qt unit with electric switch and mounting hardware
  • In-car “bullet” cam system with miniDV camera
  • New set of Balo Evo III rotors
  • New set of H&R Wheel studs and 19mm nuts

I’d be interested in creating a package deal for all of this to the new owner.
