When I was in Thailand my grandma, who is ver religious, had some buddhist monks over for my aunt's house blessing. I guess it is customary to give the monks food and my grandma was making me give all these monks food. And all the while she was sitting down and bossing me around. I later found out that they were not allowed to accept any kind of stuff from women. I think buddhist monks are not allow to accept “offerings” from women.
